Will we see?
I am reviewing Waking the Dead by John Eldredge. We don’t see many things because we are blind. We don’t view events, situations, relationships the right way because we’ve are
blind and we’ve been shut down.
Eldredge quotes Chesterton: “I am concerned with a certain way of looking at life, which was created in me by fairy tales, but has since been ratified by the mere facts.”
To see, to truly see reality, God’s reality, we must get beyond the facts. I am not saying facts aren’t important. What I mean is that God’s reality lives deeper than mere facts. God takes the facts, our experiences, the pain of life, and His Word and begins to teach us truth that sends us on through life–to live life the way He wants us to live it.
Lord, give me that life!
