What is Lectio Divina? There are resources out there but good ones are hard to find. Here is a web site with a short explanation. The main point I want you to know is that it is an approach into the Word of God which allows us to grasp more of what He might want to communicate to us. It is an approach which can be used individually but there is more benefit when it is done in a small group.
To stretch your mind I am throwing in this video of a very large group doing meditation on a scripture. I believe that is LaCrae, Beth Moore, Francis Chan and others read a passage of scripture and guided the audience to the point of meditation as the video begins–watch!

Lectio Divina simply means divine reading in latin. It is a-religious actually. It is not catholic. It is for catholics, however. That is catholic as in universal church. Lectio Divina is simply a way to approach God and His Word and seek how He would have you apply it to your life at the time of the reading. Lectio Divina has been used widely in all types of group bible study and churches. It has helped many Jesus followers in their walk with God. The main point is that we get into His Word and ask Him what He wants to say to us through His Word. The Lectio method is not inspired, His Word is inspired by His Spirit. Thus, any method that leads us into His Word to hear from Him is a good thing for us frail, weak humans.

spook, will you forgive me for upsetting you? I had no intension of doing that. We all have things in our lives that we need to confess to The Lord Jesus and I do not want to offend you. I want to help others present themselves pure and undefiled before the Creator, The Lord God, the Holy, Righteous One whom we serve.

The Jesus of the scriptures is theh only Jesus I know of, except the one that Paul in Galatians talks about. That is all I know about that jesus.
Please tell me what lies you refer too. Did I lie to you? I did not lie about my Jesus. I did not lie about Kent Hovind. I did not lie about anything that I am aware of. You continually say “catholic” but without proof. It has been probably 15 years since I darken the door of a catholic church and that was for a funeral. My group of guys go to my church. So I am at a loss.
