I – 20: the Sex Trafficking Superhighway

Thanks to Agnophilo for his contribution to this conversation below (Agnophilo.wordpress.com):
A+ for sentiment, F for execution. Prohibition invented organized crime, a far greater evil, and we still have bars on every street corner. Since the “war on drugs” started we’ve spent billions to fight drugs and addiction rates are the same as when we started, but meanwhile our prison population is 8 times higher. We are inventing a nation of criminals and then shunning them so that real active crime is the only promising career opportunity they have. Without your holy quest to end drugs we wouldn’t have gang bangers and drug cartels, we’d have a store in the mall selling pot. No guns, no thuggery, no innocent bystanders, no shootouts, no cartels cutting peoples’ heads off with chainsaws as a warning not to mess with them. This is the kind of savagery people resort to when they can’t call the police or sue someone or file an insurance claim when someone robs them, and everyone knows they can’t. It’s just like prostitution, prostitutes have a big bull’s eye on their backs saying “hurt me, I can’t go to the police.” Virtually all of the evils of prostitution are caused by prohibiting it. In places where it’s legal it is taxed and regulated and a) prostitutes make vastly more money, b) they’re much safer, c) STDs are virtually non-existent among prostitutes and d) there isn’t that much more prostitution than there is everywhere else. The only difference is it’s out in the open.
What do you care about more, puritan values or making a world where fewer people get hurt?

Agnophilo, thank you for expressing your thoughts. I am so glad we live where we are free to express our thoughts. That free expression is an outcome of the man who stood for freedom against what was then a repressive religious system of laws piled up on the truth He had given.
So you too can thank Jesus, and Jesus’ philosophy for freedom of speech.
I believe laws are necessary. Are some of the laws we have repressive, yes. However, I don’t believe laws cause STDs. I don’t believe that open prostitution eliminates STDs. I do believe the world is engulfed in slavery to sex. Sexual desire, fed by sex and slave trafficking is causing more pain in boys, girls, and women, perhaps even men, that you or I could allude to here.
I live on I-20. I-20 is the hottest sex trafficking highway in the world!!! Children are being destroyed around the world because of the sexual desires of preversion. This is evil personified and most cultures just look the other way. Societies are sick and need cleansing. Guns and knives are not the answer.
Transforming power is the only answer. The only source for that transformation that I have seen is Jesus.
Name something else if you will, but I have looked hard and long and I have seen no other name and no other source for the transformation that human beings need other then he.
I end this and am headed to prison to comfort a sexual pervert who illicitly used his three daughters. He is paying through a full 20 years sentence. Wake up! Distorted thoughts and desires get you thrown in the slammer for a long time! My prisoner friend is a witness.
