You have an enemy who wants to kill you. I want to look at verses that let us in on his mission and tactics.
The evil of the battle we are in is portrayed in Revelation 12. Please don’t let these verses alarm you to the point of being fearful. These are serious thoughts, but you have support and you can come through with the support you’ve been given.
We have a cloud of witnesses surrounding us who cheer us on (Hebrews 12:1). We have the Holy Spirit to comfort and empower us to do what we are called to do.
Please read Revelation 12. Note the symbolism there but also note that the symbols represent reality.
Now summarize what you read about the dragon in verses 4, 7-9, 10, 12-13, 15, and 17.
What key words describe the dragon, your enemy?
Do you believe that you are at war? If so, how should this revelation affect your daily life?
We are at war. I am not serious enough about the battles around me. We are promised that we will overcome. How? Though the blood already given for us by the Lamb and by the word of our testimony (verse 11).
We have overcome but we must hold firm in this battle. Our enemy is evil. He is real. He came to devour us.
Claim the blood of the Lamb over your life. He has provided the way forward to victory. Cling to Him for His victory.
